To ring in the one-year anniversary of The Tower of Babel Falls, I'm inviting producers and artists to contribute a remix or cover of a song from the album for an upcoming b-sides release. Submissions due Aug 31, 2026. Download stems and charts here. Submit a mixdown of your remix/cover to arend@arendleejessurun.com. Submissions will be chosen for their quality and creativity. Happy Disability Pride Month

I'm continuing to offer my album for free for Disability Pride Month! I wanted to share a bit about one of my favorite songs from the record: "You're Not the Only One (Atlas Song)". I wrote this song grappling with what resistance and activism might look like given the limits my disabilities impose. I hope it may offer you some respite as we fight an increasingly cruel system. One of the lyrics still continues to challenge me: "Hey now, quit cursing yourself. / Every time you believe you're in hell, / you demonize the world. / You're not the only one."

Since I shared more about my illness and my recent struggles, I've received a lot of care and support from y'all. I want to thank you so much. Every email, text, comment, album purchase, gift has meant so much to me. I'm still working on replying to each of you. Thank you for your patience. I'll continue to offer updates here. Please continue reaching out, and if you can, support by buying music and merch or hiring me for one of your projects. We're still waiting on disability benefits to hopefully come through to help me back on my feet.

Btw, at the time of writing this, The Tower of Babel Falls is charting on the first page of the indie folk and alt-country tags on Bandcamp—it's also the no. 8 folktronica album and no. 1 devotional album! Thank you so much for making that happen. <3
