Fox Den Studio is a COVID-safer home recording studio and guest room based in South Pasadena, CA, providing recording, mixing, and mastering services.

I specialize in folk, indie pop, and electronica and primarily work with singer-songwriters or small groups. I love helping others make records, especially those who have a message to share.

I have a soft spot for nostalgia and lofi, and I dig sonic experimentation. Love the sound of records made by Tom Schick (Wilco, Iron & Wine, Joan Shelley), Shawn Everett (The War on Drugs, Brittany Howard, Kacey Musgraves), and Danger Mouse (Gorillaz, Beck, Gnarls Barkley).

There’s a certain warmth that I strive toward in recording and mixing. I like music to invite the listener to come closer. As such, I like to mix and master preferring dynamics over loudness.

I got my start in high school, messing around in GarageBand, recording demos for my friends’ projects. It became a big part of my life once it was time to start putting out my own music. I’ve now been recording and engineering commercially available records independently since 2018.

Because I love indies and am one, I know we aren’t made of money, so I do adjustable rates and even work on spec sometimes. Just ask. I may even offer.
